Wastra does not need
translation.

Neshvari Wastra was born from a simple belief: Indonesian cloth does not need to become something else to be relevant. It only needs to be chosen well, told honestly, and worn with pride.

We do not create wastra. We choose it.

Behind every length is an artisan who spent time, not just materials.

Neshvari Wastra works directly with artisans in Lombok, Banten, Cirebon, Bali, Kalimantan, Sumatra, and Lampung. We visit them, watch the process, and buy at fair prices. Not every beautiful cloth makes it into the collection—only those with the texture, colour, and story we believe in.

At Inacraft 2026, we brought this collection to Jakarta. The response—including interest from international buyers—confirmed that wastra belongs in today's wardrobe, not only in a museum.

01

Chosen, not mass-produced

We buy from artisans and small cooperatives, not factories. Every length is chosen for its texture, colour, and story—not because it can be reproduced without limit.

02

A name and an origin, never anonymous

We name the origin of each cloth and, where possible, the artisan. Wastra is not a material without a face. It is made by someone, somewhere, with knowledge passed down.

03

Slow, on purpose

We do not chase a new collection every month. Better to have a few pieces we truly believe in than many with no reason to exist.

The journey

Little by little, on purpose.

We have no target to become big quickly. What we pursue is a long relationship with artisans and customers.

Today

A small collection, chosen by hand

Every piece goes through the same selection: seen, touched, compared, then decided. Nothing enters simply because it is trending.

Six days in Jakarta, thousands of conversations, and a market response that made us believe wastra can travel further.

From Indonesia to the world

We want to keep working with artisans, expand our international reach, and protect the standards that make wastra worth passing on.
